CODE OF CONDUCT
SECTION I -- COACHES
A. Any coach verbally abusing sports officials after the game will be suspended for not less than 1 game and not more than 5 games.
B. Any coach threatening, charging at, and/or coming into physical contact with a sports official during or after a game will be banished from that sports program for the entire season.
C. Any coach striking a sports official during or after a game will be banished from all sports programs through the Parks and Recreation Department. Criminal charges will also be pursued.
D. The above articles also deal with negative behavior that a coach would exhibit toward players.
SECTION II -- PARTICIPANT BEHAVIOR
A. Any participant verbally abusing a sports official after a contest shall receive a written letter of concern and/or possible suspension from further game attendance.
B. Any participant threatening, charging at, and/or physically making contact with a sports official during or after a game will be banished for the remainder of the season and possibly from all activities associated with the Parks and Recreation Department.
C. Any participant striking a sports official will be prosecuted to the fullest and banished from any activity through the Parks and Recreation Department.
D. Above articles also deal with negative behavior that a participant would exhibit toward other participants.
SECTION III -- REPEAT BEHAVIOR
A. A second verbal attack by participant, coach, or fan after a game will result in a minimum 5 game suspension or a maximum season long suspension.
B. A parent removing a player a second time from the team bench or game will result in parent banishment for a minimum of 12 months.
SECTION IV -- PROBATION / DURING GAME
A. All players on probation for unsportsmanlike conduct in any Parks and Recreation program will be disqualified for the remainder of the league season if ejected from the contest of any preceding activity.
B. All players on probation involved in any combative activity/fighting, will be banished from all programs for 12 months.
C. Continual harassment/threatening of officials during the game will not be tolerated and will be dealt with on an individual situation basis.
D. Any parent, fan, or spectator that makes any attempt before or during a practice/game to confront or accost a coach, sports official, or Parks & Recreation staff member shall be banished from all Parks and Recreation activities for a period not less than 9 months and not greater than 18 months.
SECTION V – BEHAVIOR OFF THE COURT
A. Any player who is removed from school (expelled, etc.) for disciplinary and/or academic problems, will be ineligible to participate in Parks and Recreation programs with no refund of any fees paid.
B. Any player who is involved in an altercation with the police department and/or court system will be ineligible to participate in Parks and Recreation programs with no refund of any fees paid.
